    “From the Inside, Out”

    By Maggie Keenan-Bolger

The 4th Meal Theater Company will present a reading on April 27th

Sponsored by the Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Training Program of The Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research

Based on interviews conducted with young people across the country the play chronicles the lives of self-injurers and their families and friends. The creator’s story acts as a framework for the play. As she struggles to explain her own self-injurious,(cutting) behavior to her father. The voices and stories from self-injurers and the people they touch are woven into this very moving confessional piece. The 4th Meal Theater Company presented a revised version of this play in August 2008 at the New York International Fringe Festival.

Maggie Keenan-Bolger, graduated from Oberlin College where she earned her BA in Theater and Gender and Women’s Studies. Maggie has performed in a number of shows in New York including BROADWAY: The Wizard of Oz (with Rosanne Barr); TOURING: The Will Rogers Follies and A Music Man and REGIONAL: Bound Shadow (Boy).
